France encourages the mobilization of private funding alongside traditional aid, innovative mechanisms such as the European Union's energy facility, and finally global coordination around the Sustainable Energy For All Initiative (SE4All), launched by UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon in 2012. France is the second European contributor to SE4All. Expertise France is the French agency for international technical cooperation that through MAEDI financing, is seconding a French expert working as SE4ALL coordinator for ECREEE.
